I saw your article on mental health and victims of crime in Tehelka paper- and understand the difficulty to achieve a balance in the victim's and offender's perspective.
Its also very interesting when you write about the public demand for capital punishment in India, especially for rapists.
Your question of the capital punishment being "damage control" is very relevant- as their is no protection otherwise for victims-death for the offender is an easy way out for the justice system. Very interesting reading and analysis. Thanks.

Thank you for this article. You are correct when you say that sensitisation cannot be directed only towards women. Maybe this is where many women's rights organisations have gone wrong?
